Today is finally the day! It’s NURSERY REVEAL DAY!!! Ahhhh!!!!!!
I have a million emotions about what this nursery means to me and the labor of love it has been. If you’re new here – Hi! – you can read the story about why we chose this nursery for the one room challenge. There have been so many elements of this room that had to stay on the DL and I can’t wait to share those with you but the biggest secret has been the gender!!!!! If you remember, my best friend Molly and Alex didn’t know what they were having but I did. I have been plotting and planning this space sine July all while keeping it top secret. For someone that I spend literally every day with this has been difficult at times! But enough about that – let’s just get to the good stuff.
We revealed the space on Sunday in a surprise gender reveal party. Lemme tell you – it was down to the wire. I’ll get more into that next week!
I feel like Chip and Joanna Gaines – Are you ready to see your nursery?!
If you guessed BOY you’re right! I’m in love. I have lots of pretty pictures to share and SO MANY amazing finds from my sponsors that I finally get to showcase. Prepare for photo overload!
Batman the kitty couldn’t help but be a part of this photoshoot. He’s very excited to have a little brother.
The beautiful custom art pieces above the crib were created and donated by Maria from White Hydrangea Design. At 24×36 these are the focal point of the room and just make the space unique. I designed them with the saying (which is meaningful to Molly and Alex) and I really wanted the negative white space within the frame – Maria took an idea in my head and created these gorgeous pieces – they literally took my breath away. As soon as my husband hung them on the wall there were instant tears. She was such a pleasure to work with and the quality of workmanship is fantastic.
Another one of our amazing sponsors was D. Lawless Hardware who supplied the gorgeous oil rubbed bronze pulls. We worked with D. Lawless in our ORC Kitchen as well and we were supposed impressed with the quality we came back to them again and they didn’t disappoint!
The fabric for this beautiful handmade quilt was sponsored with a discount through Tonic Living – who has an absolutely gorgeous selection of fabric and drapery. I went with the Windsor Park Palm and the Petite Arrow as the coordinating fabric. I’m in love with the movement and colors of this quilt and how perfect they are in the nursery. Of course we have to talk about how AMAZING this quilt is! Molly’s good friend Amanda makes each of her friends a quilt for their new baby (how sweet is that) and she also happens to have mad crafting skills in her shop Mimi Lynne Designs. Not only does she sew quilts but she also makes custom bows, headbands, and more! HUGE thanks to Amanda for donating her time on this quilt. It’s perfect.
Some local artists and small business also kindly donated items (and their time) for this special space. Julie from Whimsy and Wild donated the Dream Big, Over the Moon for You and the Baby print. They are so sweet in this gallery wall and on the shelves! The giraffe print was donated by Shelby from Shelby Kregel and was honestly the first thing Molly knew she wanted regardless of gender. I popped it in a white frame and he’s looking handsome over the glider. Speaking of the glider! Davinci Baby generously discounted the microfiber glider and ottoman for this reveal and it’s perfect for my best friend and her husband who are very tall. But, I’m 5’2 so lots of people are tall compared to me…
Another fabulous local sponsor was Bailey and James – a boutique located in Rockford, MI.
Bailey and James has the sweetest little boutique and the owner Amber is a pleasure to work with. They recently opened a section of the store called ‘Bailey’s Babes’ and I’ll be sharing more on that next week! Here you can find everything from beautiful paper to home goods to faux florals. It’s a haven for all things unique and beautiful! When you go you’ll find some gorgeous hand lettered words on the store front by the lovely Meredith from Tiny Bits. She also sells hand lettered art prints in the shop that are stunning! This little babes middle name is a surprise so I’ll be sharing her contribution to the nursery SOON!!
From the decoupaged alphabet wall to the handmade crocheted blanket by Molly’s mom (Grammie PenPen) to the custom black walnut shelves each item in this nursery was built and designed with nothing but love for this new life.
And now for some fun before and after’s to see how far this space has come!
And here’s a sneak peak at how they feel about there new space 🙂
I couldn’t have done this without my amazing sponsors, Molly and Alex allowing us to invade their home and life for 6 weeks, and my husband and family for being all.the.things. Life is about moments like these – surprising your best friend and her husband with the nursery of their dreams and the joyous news that they are going to be parents to a sweet little boy. All the feels you guys…

I’ll be back next week with more sponsor goodies and a peak into the gender reveal party!

This baby’s room is GORGEOUS. I love the bright blue with the toned-down green, the thick band of dark fabric on the drapes, the rug…but really, it’s that little quilt that’s killing me. So…handsome? I just love it; the fabric choices were so dang spot on. Way to go!!!
Thanks Audrey!! I LOVED that fabric so much.
