Well it’s Friday! Woohoo! While it officially turned to Spring this week – the temperatures have not been in agreement with our new season. I’m so ready to open up this house and let in all that fresh air! Ah, the joys of living in the midwest…dreading winter and waiting so impatiently for it to pass. But enough about the weather – let’s talk my favorite finds for the week! We’ve got a colorful spring home tour that’s sure to knock your socks off – a book I’ve been crushing on – and an extra special surprise!
Favorite Find One:
I just love getting a sneak peak into other people’s homes (not in the creepy way that sounds haha). Virtual home tours are such a great way to see other decor styles, inspiration, and gather ideas about what you may like for your own home. Most home tours offer tons of info on sources to find key pieces in their home like furniture, drapes, and pillows- perfect if you see something you just can’t live without!
I’ll be sharing my Spring home tour next week {can’t wait} so I’ve been drawn to all the newest spring homes out there. This one from Jennifer at Dimples and Tangles took my breath away!
My love of black and white runs deep in her home – but the pops of green, orange, and pink make it playful and sophisticated all at the same time. It’s very Kate Spade-esque. I’m smitten.
For oodles of inspiration go check it out!
Favorite Find Two:
I posted on instagram last week a little sneak peak into a book I’ve been reading thanks to Young House Love’s podcast. It’s called The Little Book Of Hygge by Meik Wiking and it’s all kinds of warm and cozy.
What is hygge you might ask? Well I think it means something a little different depending on who you ask but it’s essentially about a cozy, peaceful, and serene life focused on happiness. What’s not to love about that?! I’m someone who geeks out about the idea of wrapping myself in a blanket by the fire place sipping on a hot cup of coffee – it warms my soul from the inside out. This, according to the danish way of living, is very hygge and is why the Danes are some of the happiest people. Candles, lighting, and coziness are my jam so this book spoke to me in a way like no other. It’s like being give permission to take a few moments out of your day and snuggle up in your favorite spot in the house with a warm beverage and just relax and embrace the now. That’s a way of life I can get behind! I highly recommend this book friends!
Favorite Find Three:
When I started Restyle it Wright a little over a year ago my vision was to have an online space to share our DIY’s, home renovations, and inspiration for all things design and decor. I chose ‘restyle’ intentionally as I wanted to embrace all facets of design – both interior and fashion. Now, I’m no fashionista by any means, but when I’m not in scrubs or hockey sweatshirts I enjoy wearing clothes that are fashion forward and a bit like my home – pink, floral, and chic! But here’s where the fun part comes in – my sweet friend Angela is going to be joining me here on the blog for her tips and tricks to a stylish and affordable wardrobe (okay, maybe the occasional splurge). She’s drop dead gorgeous, a wife and mom to three sweet little girls, and has an eclectic-glam-boho style that’s all kinds of fabulous and fun.
Her first post is going live next week with tips on how to boost your wardrobe to fight off the winter blues – how fun is that?!
Here she is with a little intro of her own!
Hi! I’m Angela! I’ve always been someone drawn in by beauty whether it’s aesthetics or the depths of someone’s soul. I think there is so much beauty in the world and I seek to surround myself with as much of it as possible, because let’s face it, there is also too much ugly and ain’t nobody got time fo’ dat.
My full time job for the past {almost} 7 years {left-brain using data analyst for a financial software company} has allowed me the opportunity {and challenge!} to work from home. Early on I realized that my environment played a huge part in my mood, energy level, ability to focus and of course my productivity. What started as a therapeutic creative release, turned into a full blown beauty-seeking, space cultivating, decor addiction.
I’ve always loved fashion and creating outfits too, always sneaking in one or two items that are a little “off” because I like the challenge of trying to make it work. I am a bit of a free spirit, I have been known to change my mind a lot, and symmetry is not my usual MO. A little boho, a little chic, and a little bit southern belle, my style in both decor and fashion, is quite eclectic! My Grandma’s vintage jewelry and unique wardrobe pieces will always be my favorite.
I’m also a wife, a mom to 3 little girls, an on again off again yogi, an Enneagram 4w3, and quite possibly the worst cook you’ll ever meet! I’m also lucky enough to be neighbors with our mutual friend, decor and DIY inspiration and beauty-creating extraordinaire, Colette!
And, because it’s always fun to learn useless information about someone, if I could be on any reality TV show, it would be, hands down, Dancing with the Stars!!! Yes please!!
Deepest gratitude to Colette for sharing your lovely blog space and amazing readers. Let’s all be friends!!
You can follow Angela over on Instagram @angelaknixon where she’s shares outfit inspo’s – her gorgeous home – and warm fuzzies.
That’s all I’ve got for today friends! Hope you found something inspiring today! I’d love to hear your thoughts on adding fashion to this ‘ol blog of mine!
Oh, and don’t forget to check out my guest post over on Polished Habitat – it was a killer hi/low makeover!

Those striped curtains and that gallery wall are striking!
